HFO — the indestructible classic
The electromechanical HFO converters transform 230/400 V site power into 42 V/200 Hz for high-frequency pokers. Rotary converters of this design have run on job sites and in precast plants for decades — tough against dust, moisture and continuous load. Depending on the model they feed one or several pokers at once.
How do I size the converter?
The sum of the rated currents of all connected pokers must stay below the converter's rated current. In doubt, size one step up — that leaves reserve for a second poker.
HFO or HFO-E?
The HFO is the heavy, practically maintenance-free choice for stationary use. If you carry your converter around and switch pokers often, take the lighter electronic HFO-E.
